PEACE CHORUS CHURCH GIG
I haven’t played in a church since we laid Mikey Dee (the Noise/WMFO/Planetary Group) to rest. It was a different occasion recently when Sgt. Maxwell’s Peace Chorus brought our peace show to the Community Church of Boston. We were greeted by a wonderful bunch of activists who were more than generous with their appreciation of our performance. Thank you Dean Stevens! It was a pleasure.
URBAN CARAVAN TAKES VERMONT
Sgt. Maxwell (that's me), Sal Baglio, Michael Bloom, and Jon Macey & Steve Gilligan headed up to Vermont to play three gigs in three days on Memorial Day Weekend. We played the Old Labor Hall in Barre, Radio Bean in Burlington, and the Bee’s Knees in Morrisville. We figured out who was the chick magnet of the group and had a bunch of Spinal Tap moments. It's a pleasure to peform with this group of great performers.
AT PERKS WITH URBAN CARAVAN
On Friday, June 27, I’ll be at Perks—a cool coffeehouse in Norwood (685 Washington Street). I’ll have the pleasure of playing with Sal Baglio, Mr. Curt Ensemble, Bird Mancini, Ramona Silver, and Glenn Williams. In the Caravan we play separately and spontaneously chime in together, which makes it a fun experience for everyone involved.
PEACE CHORUS ON TV
On July 12 Sgt. Maxwell’s Peace Chorus invades TV land. We’ll be on It’s All About the Arts, which airs that Monday from 6-7PM on BNN-TV, Channel 9 (in Boston), and is replayed several times during the week.
